Year 7 have been finding out how Northumbrian Water deal with our sewage.  Mr. Richardson visited the school and we discovered that there were six stages of treatment. It was interesting finding out where pumping stations are located in the area and how the effluent is processed. The biological content was covered in the use of bacteria and reeds and physics in terms of the use of gravity, pumps and spouting water to cause movement.
